Dal Recipe

Dal is pretty easy to make and doesn’t really need a recipe, but here’s what we did for a really simple, easy dinner:

Boiled 1/2 cup of red lentils in water with a drop of oil added, and once boiling brought down to simmer for about 30 mins.

Mixed in:

  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 table spoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 4 teaspoons madras curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon achar
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 1 pinch of paprika
  • salt & pepper to taste
